Ay Que Rica Salsa journey started in 2017,
born out of a love for cooking and a desire to honor a legacy. It was my grandmother, Antonia Marquez, who taught me how to cook when I was just 7 years old. She was a woman of great strength, wisdom, and faith. The art of making salsa was one of the many things I learned from her and it was this skill that I chose to mold into a business, as a tribute to the wonderful woman that she was.
Overcoming Adversity
However, the journey of our salsa business has not always been a smooth one. There have been intermittent periods of inactivity due to family losses. Over time, I lost my dad, brothers, and mom to cancer. Each loss was a heavy blow that had a profound impact on my life and the business. However, I chose to see these challenges not as setbacks but as opportunities to persevere, grow, and honor my lost loved ones.
Perseverance and Growth
By the grace of God, I continued the salsa business. It was no longer just about honoring my grandmother but also about paying tribute to the memory of my dad, brothers, and mom. Each jar of salsa that we sell now carries with it a piece of my family's legacy. It is a testament to love, resilience, and the enduring spirit of family.
